Construction
I was surprised when I picked up the smal cigar. The fact the Flor de selva Egoista had a ring gauge of 56 (22mm), a ring gauge that is mostly found in Gordo, thicker toros and robusto grande made me think it would be a little heavier even though it was a short i length (3 1/2 inch, 89mm). It was so light that it almost felt like a feather in the palm of your hand. Flor the Selva Egoista i believe could have been rolled to a smaller ring gauge but but then in probably wouldn’t had the perfect draw it had or given that powerful feel it conveys. The cigar was a little softer then many others and had a silky oily feeling to it.

Band impression
As I looked at the white paper band i got the feeling of wedding cigar or luxurious everyday smoke. The powerful feeling of the cigar in combination with the paper band had some how a magical feeling to it.
Blend
The Flor de selva Egoista was a puro made from 100% Hunduran tobacco.
Wrapper: Honduras – Binder: Honduras – Filler: Honduras
Size
The vitola we reviewed was a short Robusto with a impressive ring gauge.
Egoista size: 56×3 1/2: (ring gauge 22mm Lenth 89mm)
Scent
When I smelled the cigar I was pleasantly surprised. Many times you are met with aromas of farm and hay, but not from the Flor De Selva Egoista cigar. The wrapper had a soft scent of Florality and leather while the filler brought aromas of fruitiness, nuts and hay. You could say it was a teaser and you could undoubtedly have the cigar next to you at work and enjoy the scent from time to time.
Cold draw
The cold draw was incredibly soft and airy. The flavors the cold draw wasn’t particularly unique and were not reminiscent of the scent. The flavors i felt from the cigar were hay and oats.
Lets light up the Flor de Selva Egoista

The first thing the Egoista cigar presented was a creamy, thick and rich texture. The kind of texture that fills your taste buds with joy thanks to its smoothness. The flavors i felt were pepper, woody flavors that reminded me of a combination of oak and cedar wood, roasted nuts, florality, espresso and leather. Accompanying the dominant flavors in the background were nuances of dried fruits, herbs, dark chocolate and saltiness. The retrohale slightly tickled my nose and gave nuances of white pepper and wood.
If you put your full focus on Flor De Selva Egoista, it really rewards you; there are many flavors to feel and an incredible balance between them.
Nub
When I got to the nub I was surprised, I thought considering the cigar had had the same taste from the beginning to the nub it would continue in the same way, but there was a shift in flavors. The texture became creamy and buttery at the same time. The flavors I was surprised with were cedar wood, licorice, ground dark roasted coffee beans, dried herbs, hay and a sweetness reminiscent of honey and vanilla sugar. The retrohalation became smooth and the nuance I felt was wood.
