My name is Peter. I am the father of two children, cigar sommelier and entusiast. I followed my passion years ago and now am here to give you tips, advice and interesting reading when it comes to cigars.

My journey with cigars began in my early 20s. At first it was probably like for many others, cigars were a weekend luxury which then developed into a passion.
Now over 10 years later, I still remember a cigar that made the strongest impression on me at that time, it was Cohiba esplendidos. The cohiba esplendidos cigar showed me that there was a difference in the quality and flavors of cigars. I had recently had dinner with my sister and her husband. On Fridays or Saturdays at that time we usually had a cigar. That day my brother-in-law told me not to light my cigar and gave me the cohiba esplendidos. This one stuck with me and changed how i looked at the craft of cigars. This is where my journey and passion in the craft of cigars began. Over the years I have been surrounded by both good, bad cigars and cigars that were disastrous one day and became one of my great favorites a little later. Learned from my mistakes and challenged certain cigar rules to see if they are right. Showed the way to others, helped them find their favorites and taught what can be important to consider when choosing a cigar.
If you ask me what is the most important thing when developing your interest in cigars? What you do between cigars will make the biggest impression when you smoke the cigar. Sensing flavors on a cigar is about how you have trained your sense of taste to draw parallels and feel different flavors. A small example. If you habitually eat the same dish like a lemon salad or a chicken with peanut sauce for a long time. The first flavors your palette will look for are those found in the dish. If you eat a versatile diet and also practice extra on the most common flavors in a cigar, you will be able to find more flavors and your taste buds will also find more hidden flavors in the cigar. Which will make you enjoy the cigar more.
