I was not prepared for what the cigar offered at first. The Casa turrent rosado gordito cigar probably had the best aroma I’ve ever smelled and the cold draw I’ve tasted.
Construction
The band around the cigar made me think of a road trip along the coast, slowly drifting along in a convertible. The cigar felt a little chubby when I held it in my hand. It was firm and had a slight oiliness to it.
Wrapper: Mexico – Binder: Mexico – Filler: Mexico
Taste
Smell and cold draw
I was pleasantly surprised when I first smelled the Casa Turrent Rosado Gordito cigar. The aroma was like a delicious dessert. The wrapper had a delightful scent of hay and vanilla, while the filler had hints of hay and citrus. The cold draw was even more surprising, offering a flavor reminiscent of sweet and sour citrus candy. I found myself hesitant to light the cigar right away, wanting to savor the dessert-like experience a bit longer.

Lets see what the cigar has to offer lit
After experiencing the delightful aroma and cold draw of the cigar, my expectations were high. When I finally lit it, I was not disappointed. The only minor issue was that I had to make a few corrections while smoking, but the rich flavors made it well worth the effort.
It all began with an airy draw and a creamy texture. The initial taste was surprising, even though the citrus notes were evident in the cold draw; it reminded me of sweet citrus candy. Alongside the citrus, the cigar offered flavors of espresso, hay, sourdough bread, nuttiness, saltiness, salty licorice, and cinnamon. In the background, there was a sweet fruitiness that hinted at green grapes. Near the end of the cigar, a floral note emerged, reminiscent of tulips. The retrohale was smooth, with nuances of white pepper. It was an incredible taste experience with a wonderful balance of flavors.

Conclusion
This cigar offers a delightful taste experience. It has a well-balanced mix of flavors, with the citrus standing out prominently. The citrus notes, noticeable from the aroma and cold draw and continuing throughout the smoke, are quite unique and not common in many cigars. With a medium to full body, it’s suitable for most aficionados. Considering the price, taste, and quality, it’s quite affordable, even with the few corrections needed during smoking. I rarely say this, but I would pay 30-35% more for this cigar.
