Construction
Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed before I lit the cigar. The cigar was firm and evenly rolled. What gave me a little concern was a larger vein behind the wrapper and that the cap was incredibly uneven. The cap was uneven to the point that I had to cut the cigar much more than I should. But despite these parts, I was happy with the cigar.
Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Mexican – Filler: Nicaraguan, Pennsylvanian
Taste
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper had a fresh floral scent while the filler smelled hay and fruity. The cold draw shockingly brought out more flavors than many other cigars, it tasted like a mix of sweet wood, light leather and light fruitiness.
1/3 Lets se what Dunbarton Sobremesa Robusto Largo has to offer.
After I had roasted the cigar I was greeted with a nice creamy texture with a lighter soft butteriness. The flavors the cigar presented were a floral mixed with fresh spices, a soft taste of leather, coffee beans, lightly roasted almonds and raisins. The retrohalation shocked me and gave a nuance I don’t usually get often in retrohalation. It gave shades of dark chocolate with a slight spiciness. My concern from earlier that the cigar would glow crooked began to subside. I did not have to correct the cigar once.
2/3 Hope it is as tasty as before.
The texture changed a bit and the butteriness disappeared. Now the cigar just had a creamy texture. The flavors that came were espresso, leather, oak, slightly sweet floweriness reminiscent of flower shop, salty almonds and walnuts, raisins and cedar wood.
3/3 A good finish to the cigar
The cigar continued in the same style as the previous parts. The texture was creamy and the flavors it produced were a mix of oak and cedar wood, dark chocolate, espresso with a caramel syrup like sweetness, raisins, a nuance that was oddly reminiscent of a mix of crackers and fruitiness, fresh spices and a salty nutty mix .
Aftertaste
General nuttiness
Body
Medium bordering on full
Smoke time
50 minutes
Conclusion
A good cigar with a body and taste that suits the slightly more experienced aficionado. The flavors keep the same style from start to finish, they go into each other in a good way between the thirds. Good construction aside from how uneven the top was and how I had to cut it. If we compare price, quality and taste, I would probably like to say that you get a good cigar considering the price.
