Conctrustion
Rolling a Belicoso is a difficult vitola to roll and is usually one of my favorites to review. It shows the brand’s use of skilled Torcedors and how much passion they put into the cigar. The pointed tip, roll too hard and you get a thight draw, too loose and the cigar unravels. There are a lot of things that can go wrong if you are not a master of your craft. Escobar cigars Habano belicoso was evenly rolled, but without any soft or hard parts. There were no major veins to be felt in the cigar that could affect the smoking. There was a slightly rougher and thicker oiliness that wrapped around the cigar like a blanket. A type of oily feeling that you don’t feel too often in cigars.
Band impression
I don’t know why, but the feeling I got when I held the Habano Belicoso cigar was of a luxurious everyday cigar. A cigar you light when grilling on Friday, on the porch after a long day at work, or sharing a moment with friends on Saturday night.
Size of Escobar cigars Habano belicoso
The Escobar cigars Habano belicoso had a size of 6×54 (Approximately Length 152mm – Ring gauge 21mm)
Blend
To create Escobar cigars Habano belicoso they have used Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with binder from Nicaragua and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras.
Scent and Cold draw
The wrapper smelled like a combination of hay and fruitiness, while the filler smelled like hay and dark chocolate. The cold draft gave me flavors of maltiness and oats.
1/3 Lets light up the Escobar cigars Habano belicoso
After I roasted the Escobar Habano Belicoso it opened up softly with a lighter creamy texture followed by flavors of general spiciness, cedar wood, citrus peel, nutmeg and coffee beans. In the back end I could feel nuances of roasted nuts, florality and a soft syrupy sweetness. The retrohalation tickled my nose a little and I felt general spicy nuances.
2/3 New flavors start to emerge
When I entered the second third of the Escobar Habano belicoso the cigar showed a new side. The texture was reminiscent of the texture in the first third although a little richer and the flavors that were slowly presented were Earthiness, oak, citrus peel, cacao and pepperiness with a hint of herbs. In the background there were flavors that lifted the cigar and showed its more complex side. The flavors I felt were general citrus, Floral, espresso, anise, syrup-like sweetness and minerals. The retrohalation became a little smoother and the nuances I felt were general woodiness and spiciness.
3/3 Lets see how the Escobar Habano ends
The last third of the cigar offered an incredibly pleasant experience. The texture of the Escobar Habano cigar grew and became rich and creamy. There was an almost unique coffee flavor that reminded me of coffee where a thicker foam reminded me of vanilla sugar, in addition to the coffee flavor there were shades of dark woodiness, dried herbs, leather, nutmeg and a chocolate combination that reminded me of cacao and regular chocolate (incredibly difficult to explain in text). In the background there were lighter shades of earth, honey-like sweetness, saltiness and raisins. The retrohalation was smooth and gave off shades of wood. I must say that it was an incredibly good end to the moment with the cigar, especially the coffee flavor lifted the experience a little extra.
After taste
Walenut
Draw
The draw of the Escobar Habano belicoso was Neither too tight nor loose, it was just as you expect from a premium cigar.
Burn quality
The glow line was even from start to finish and didn’t have to be corrected.
Body
The body of Escobar Habano belicoso was medium bordering on full.
Price of the cigar
The average price for the Escobar Habano belicoso is Approximately 14 USD
Conclusion
Escobar cigar Habano belicoso is a complex cigar with well balanced flavors. There is a citrus nuance that accompanies from start to finish and a coffee flavor at the end that makes the cigar stand out a little extra from the crowd of cigars. The body that is medium on the border of full makes the Escobar Habano belicoso suitable for the slightly more experienced aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is a little low in price and you get more than what you pay for.
