West Tampa Tobacco Company Red robusto cigar
An experience I appreciated and will enjoy several times.
Construction
The cigar was firm and smooth with no veins. The only thing that was a little uneven was the top, but not at all to the extent that it would affect how I cut the cigar. The wrapper had a lovely matte feel, a feeling that almost felt like cacao powder.
Wrapper: Mexico – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Nicaragua
Taste
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper had a smell reminiscent of a farmhouse and the filler smelled of hay. I took a few puffs before lighting the cigar and got flavors of hay.

It was a delight from start to finish. The cigar was not complex but the flavors it gave and the way the cigar gave them made it a pure joy. The flavors that came at the beginning were the same until the end. It all started with a creamy texture and light airy draw. The flavors I felt were a mixture of dark chocolate and milk chocolate, leather, cinnamon, hay, oak and general nuttiness. In the background there was a sweetness reminiscent of vanilla bean and sweet licorice. The retrohalation tickled to a little light in the nose and gave flavors of black pepper.

Conclusion
An incredibly good cigar without much complexity, the flavors you felt at the beginning were the same until the end. Incredibly well balanced between the flavors, none were too much or too little. A medium body that suits most people. If I compare price vs. taste vs. quality, I think it is a little underpriced. A cigar I will smoke several times.

The best Toro cigars are the ones that use the format for what it is good at. A Robusto gives you forty-five minutes and a clear idea. A Toro gives you sixty, eighty, sometimes a hundred, and that extra room is where blenders get to show what they can really do. A blend with three […]
