The flavors I felt were pure joy and gave certain nuances that are not often felt.
Construction
The very name last call gave me the feeling that it would be the last cigar of the evening. The cigar that would fill one’s taste buds before it was time to go to bed.
The cigar had no major vein and had a solid feel to it. The wrapper had a slightly oily feel.
Wrapper: Nicaragua – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Nicaragua
Taste
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper had a scent that made me think of dark chocolate and farm while the filler smelled of farm and hay. The cold draft gave me shades of hay and fruitiness.
Lets light Aj Fernandez Last call geniales maduro and see what it has to offer.
The texture was slightly creamy and at the same time dry. It was not complex, the flavors that came at the beginning were the same until the end. What was really interesting were the flavors the cigar provided. There was saltiness, a taste that was incredibly interesting and that I can’t describe in any other way than smoked and air-dried Prosciutto, dark chocolate and cacao mixture, espresso. In the background there were shades of leather, acidity and Floweriness. When I got to the end of the cigar before it was time to put it down, a lighter vanilla bean flavor came in. Retrohalation tickled my nose and gave flavors of cayenne pepper and hickory.
After taste
Walnuts and dark chocolate
Body
Medium on the border of full
Smoke time
45 minutes
Conclusion
A cigar that has interesting flavors. The body makes it suitable for the slightly more experienced Aficionado. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is almost cheap.
