I had expected a little more from the cigar. The flavors were good but it glowed unevenly throughout the smoking process and had to be constantly parried to the point that I was constantly holding the lighter.
Construction
The cigar was incredibly tightly rolled and had a slight oiliness that felt rough.
Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Dominican – Filler: Dominican
Scent and cold draw
The wrapper had a smell of hay while the filler smelled of hay with a lighter hint of farmyard. The cold draft gave me flavors of hay and maltiness.
Lets light up the PDR Value Reserve Connecticut Robusto
The PDR Value Line Reserve Connecticut Robusto cigar was not particularly complex and the flavors I felt were the same from start to finish. What changed a little were the nuances, although not to the point it would be worth writing about. But the flavors were wonderful. The cigar fits as a good everyday cigar.
The texture was creamy with a hint of butteriness and the dominant flavors I felt were woodiness, hay, spiciness, cacao and classic tobacco. In the background there were flavors of vanilla-like sweetness, peach-like fruitiness, chocolate and nuttiness. The retrohalation slightly itched the nose and gave spicy nuances of white pepper and cayenne pepper. Unfortunately, the cigar burned unevenly all the way through and I had to relight the cigar incredibly often.
After taste
Walenuts and cacao
Body
Mild
Smoke time
45 minutes
Conclusion
PDR Value Line Reserve Connecticut Robusto cigar is not complex and the flavors you feel at the beginning are the same until the end. It is suitable as an everyday cigar. The body that is on the mild side makes it suitable for all aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should have been thought that the cigar glowed unevenly. I usually don’t think the price should affect the quality when smoking, but considering the low price, you get a little bit of what you paid for. Overall, a good cigar.
