Sitting with the cigar gave an incredibly wonderful feeling, even though I wasn’t listening to Sweet Child O Mine at the time, it was present while smoking. My thoughts were taken back to a concert where Guns and Roses played the song live and the feeling was magnificent.
Construction
I don’t know why, but the feeling of the band wrapping around the cigar was quite powerful and joy-inducing. Instead of the classic brown, black and white band, there was an almost shocking pink band. Rebellious from what you usually see and unique in its own way. In the humidor it really popped out of the crowd.
The cigar was solid without any veins and had a matte feel to it.
Wrapper: Mexican – Binder: Indonesia – Filler: Special blend including Jamastran
Scent and cold draw
The wrapper had a scent of farmyard while the filler had a almost unique scent, the scent of the filler reminded me some how of mint chocolate. The cold draw gave me flavors of maltiness and oats.
Lets light up the Rebellion sweet child o mine and see what it has to offer
The cigar doesn’t have much complexity between the thirds but the flavors compete more throughout the smoke to be the most dominant. The texture the cigar offered was creamy and the flavors I felt were cedar wood, citrus peel, pine nuts and a chocolaty taste that reminded me of chocolate and sweet almond mixed. In the background there were flavors of hay, fruitiness, vanilla bean and a syrupy sweetness. The retrohalation was smooth and gave woody nuances.
After taste
Walnuts
Body
Mild bordering on medium
Smoke time
55 minutes
Conclusion
Rebellion Sweet child o mine is a cigar but incredibly well balanced between the flavors. The body that is on the mild side makes it suitable for most Aficionados. It is incredibly suitable for days when you want a slightly better everyday cigar and don’t want to put in too much focus and still feel good flavors. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is a little underpriced, I think you get a lot of cigar for the money.
