Construction
I liked the band around the cigar, it wasn’t the classic, clean design or the artwork that lifted the cigar. The band gave me the feeling of a cigar from some animated TV series. A relaxed feel and feel of an everyday cigar.
The cigar was firm and had a oily feeling to it.
Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: secret – Filler: Nicaragua
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper had a scent of hay and chocolate while the filler had a scent of hay and coffee beans. The cold draw gave me shades of maltiness and nuttiness.
Lets light up the Cigarkings sun grown Petit Robusto to see what it has to offer
The texture was slightly creamy and the dominant flavors i felt were spiciness, hay, acidity, nuttiness, herbs, saltiness, anise and woodiness. In the background there was floral flavors and cinnamon. Towards the end of the cigar flavors of espresso and dark chocolate appeard. The retrohale gave nuances of white pepper and cayenne pepper.
After taste
Walnuts
Body
Medium bordering on full
Smoke time
45 minutes
Conclusion
Cigarkings sun grown Petit Robusto is a cigar with a good balance between the flavors. The body that is medium on the border of full makes it suitable for the slightly more experienced Aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is where it should be.
