One of the tastiest cigars on the market.
Construstion
That the cigar was flawless from veins and was firmly and evenly rolled feels almost unnecessary to say. What stood out a little extra was the feel of the wrapper, it had a silky oiliness that almost felt buttery. The oiliness itself was nothing unique, but the fact that it went towards buttery stood out a little extra. The cigar’s name Winston Churchill late hour gave it a powerful and elegant impression. It is said that after his long days, Winston Churchill wrote his speeches and books at night, usually with a cigar in his hand.
Some of the tobacco used in the cigar is aged in Scotch whiskey barrels for 6 months, which gives an extra fermentation process while the use of the barrels gives deeper flavor and sweetness. Every two weeks they turn the tobacco in the barrels and carefully monitor that the heat does not get too high, which is demanding and carefully performed work. This piece alone tells you that you get a lot for your money.
Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Mexico – Filler: Dominican and Nicaragua
Taste
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper had a scent of sweet fruitiness while the filler smelled of sweet hay. The cold draft offered flavors of hay and sweet fruitiness. I think the cold draw was so pleasant that the cigar would go well as an appetizer during the day with the cold draw before lighting it in the evening.

1/3 The joy begins
The texture that arrived was incredibly nice, it was creaminess mixed with silky oiliness. I have a hard time explaining the first taste that washed over my taste buds. It was like an almost candy-like fruitiness or some kind of fruit drink. There was a tartness that went in the direction of citrus, a floweriness reminiscent of a flower shop mixed with fresh spices, a slight saltiness and a slight maltiness. The retrohale was sweet and smooth and gave off woody flavors.
2/3 The Davidoff late hour robusto continues with incredible flavors
The texture changed a bit, it was still creamy and now instead of oily, the creaminess was joined by a soft butteriness that was incredibly nice. The candy like fruitiness from before was toned down a bit and now went in the direction of a general sweet fruitiness, the floral from before was still there but the fresh spices were now a bit more in the background, there was a light hint of citrus and faint flavors of raisins. Retrohalation was still smooth but now had hints of white pepper. Somehow this part of the cigar reminded me of an incredibly sweet fruity whiskey.
3/3 Incredibly good finish to the Davidoff WSC late hour
When I got into the last third, the flavors changed quite a bit. The texture was still a mixture of creamy and buttery. The flavors Davidoff Late hour robusto delivered to my taste buds were, hay, raisins, a light fruitiness, leather, soft general floral flavors, fresh spices, oak, espresso and cacao. Towards the end of the cigar, the fruitiness changed and gave shades of dark berries. The retrohalation tickled the nose a little and gave shades of white pepper.

Smoke time
I was a little shocked by the smoking time. It is rare that you can smoke a rubusto for 85 minutes. I could wait a long time between puffs without it going out or getting too cool.
Conclusion
A good cigar with top quality construction. Smooth and prominent flavors. Long smoking time. Oddly full body that also suits relatively new aficionados. You can say that it works as a premium intro cigar if you want to smoke full-bodied cigars. Although the price is a bit higher than many cigars, the price vs. quality and taste is exactly where it should be. If you look at how much work is behind them, you see a magnificent example of craftsmanship at its best.
