El Septimos Salvador Dali Toro cigar review

The cigar is named after Salvador Dali. Salvador Dalí was a master of the surreal—a bold visionary who turned dreams into vivid, impossible realities.

The painting where the clocks of time seem to almost melt away makes me think. Following dreams has always been a big part of me, following your dreams is about the time you give yourself, the time you choose to invest in your well-being. Don’t let time melt away, make the most of it. Even on days when you don’t have time, you can find at least 15 minutes for your dreams. Let the cigar be a reminder to follow your dreams.

Construction

The cigar was incredibly firm and evenly rolled with a slightly oily feeling to it.

Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Ecuador – Filler: Dominican, Ecuador and Nicaragua

Scent and cold draw

The wrapper had a scent of chocolate in a combination with hay while the filler had a scent of chocolate with a hint of brown sugar.  The cold draw gave me flavors of chocolate and hay.

1/3 Lets light up the El Septimo Salvador Dali Toro and see what it has to offer

The texture was incredibly smooth. It felt like it was a combination of buttery and creamy texture at the same time. The flavors the cigar offered where fresh herbs, anise, dark cherrys and woodiness. In the background there were flavors of coffee witha  brown sugar sweetness, minerals and dark chocolate. The retrohale was incredibly smooth and gave nuances of wood.

2/3 The cigar showed some complexity

As i got close to the second third of the El Septimo Salvador Dali cigar started showing complexity. The texture was creamy with out the shades of butteriness. The dominant flavors it offered where Woodiness, nuttiness, brown sugar-like sweetness, leather, dark berries with a hint of cherry, spiciness with a hint of pink pepper and chocolate. In the background there were flavors of coffee, raisins, vanilla bean, minerals and fresh herbs. The retrohale was still smooth with shades of woodiness.

3/3 A well balanced ending to the cigar

The texture was creamy as in the second third and the flavors I felt were Anise, hay, espresso, nuttiness, brown sugar, noticeable woodiness, saltiness, chocolate and leather. In the background were nuances of dark berries, vanilla pod, spiciness with a hint of pink pepper and ground coffee beans. The retrohale was smooth and gave woody nuances towards ceder.

After taste

Walnuts

Body

Medium bordering on full

Smoke time

85 minutes

Conclusion

El Septimos Salvador Dali Toro is a well-balanced cigar between the flavors. It has a certain complexity that makes it interesting from start to finish. The body that is medium on the border of full makes it suitable for the slightly more experienced Aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should be.
