The cigar was a truly wonderful experience. Smoking a puro made from Peruvian tobacco is not something you do often.
Construction
The band around the cigar caught my attention, it gave the feeling that I was holding a piece of ancient history and tradition. The cigar was firm and evenly rolled. There was a slightly larger vein that I thought would cause the glow line to need adjusting during smoking but luckily it never did. There was a slightly thicker rough oiliness that wrapped around the cigar.
Wrapper: Peru – Binder: Peru – Filler: Peru
Smell and cold draw
The scent of the wrapper felt a little unique and gave me thoughts of dark orange chocolate while the filler had a scent of hay and leather. The cold draft gave me flavors of oatmeal.
Let’s light the Inca Roca Robusto cigar
I thought the cigar would be a little more complex but the flavors I felt at the beginning were the same all the way through. The texture was creamy and the dominant flavors I felt were woodiness, herbs, nuttiness reminiscent of pistachio, caffe latte and a sweetness that is difficult to explain and is best described as a combination of honey and vanilla sugar. In the background there were flavors of florality, hay and cola syrup. The retrohalation tickled the nose a little and gave a hint of white pepper.

Conclusion
Inca Roca Robusto is not particularly complex and the flavors you feel are the same from start to finish. The flavors are well balanced without any flavor standing out too much. The body, which is mild, makes it suitable for most Aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should be.
