Construction
The Kristoff Tres Compadres Robusto has a classic size of 5 x 50 ( Lenght 127mm – ring gauge19,84 mm). The Wrapper, binder and filler all come from Nicaragua, offering a pure expression of the country’s character. The cigar feels solid in the hand with a slightly oily wrapper and a clean presentation.
A small soft spot appeared around the second third, but it never affected the burn or the draw. Overall, the construction is excellent and the performance consistent throughout the smoke.
Flavors
Once lit, the Tres Compadres opens creamy and soft. The main flavours are hay, sweet cedar wood, milkiness, and roasted almonds, supported by background notes of salty licorice, coffee latte, honey, earthiness and vanilla bean.
In the second half, the cigar grows slightly fuller and creamier. The profile shifts toward oak, espresso, earth, roasted nuts and cacao, with honey sweetness balancing the darker tones. Subtle hints of raisins and pepper appear.
Conclusion
The Kristoff Tres Compadres Robusto is a well-balanced cigar with a smooth and enjoyable flavor profile. It doesn’t shift dramatically, but there’s enough variety to keep it engaging from start to finish.
It’s a cigar that fits both when you want to relax without focusing too much, and when you have the time to sit back and enjoy something semi-complex.
Score: 87
