The cold draft gave an almost unique taste of camomille tea
Construction
I don’t know why but the feeling I got from the band was like a movie, the cigar was made for a rich ranch owner in the 17th-18th century. A feeling that the cigar is lit while they stand on their porch and look over their land and cattle to enjoy their wealth while their employees start their work.
The cigar was firm and evenly rolled with a matte feel to it.
Wrapper: Nicaragua – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Nicaragua

Smell and cold draw
The scents I smelled shocked me and I put the cigar down for a while to smell the cigar again later to see if I smelled the right scent. The wrapper smelled of hay and the filler gave shades of fruitiness and mint leaves. Mint leaves in particular I feel were unique and was probably the first time I smelled the scent. The cold draw was incredibly relaxing and could be enjoyed like a lovely cup of tea. The flavors I felt were fruitiness and camomille.
1/3 Lets light up the My Father Don Pepin Black 1979 robusto
My father Don Pepin Black 1979 cigars started with a creamy pleasant texture. The dominant flavors I felt were sweet herbs, leather, cedar, maltiness and general sweetness. In the background there were flavors of butter, fruitiness, nuttiness, a taste that is most easily described as mint leaves and caffe latte with sugar. Retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of general pepperiness and cedar.

2/3 Lets see what the second third of the My Father cigar has to offer
The texture became thicker and creamier. The flavors I felt were nuttiness, cedar, general woodiness, leather and general sweetness. In the background were shades of cacao, breadiness and a mixture of brewed coffee and espresso. The retrohalation tickled lightly in the nose and gave nuances of cedar, white pepper and hay.
3/3 lets see how the cigar finishes
The texture was creamy but a little lighter than before. The flavors I felt were hay, dark chocolate, nuttiness, leather, cedar and breadiness. In the background there were flavors of maltiness, cacao, fruitiness towards dark berries, classic tobacco and sweetness. The retrohale was smooth and gave nuances of white pepper and hay.
After taste

Conclusion
My father Don Pepin Black 1979 Robusto cigars have a good balance of flavors. There is a lighter complexity that makes it interesting but doesn’t demand too much of one’s focus. The medium body makes it suitable for most aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should be, maybe a little under priced.
