When I began the cigar review of the Silencio Los Rios Robusto, the first thing that struck me was that it had a silky smooth oiliness. The cigar was firm and evenly rolled with no veins to interfere.

Smell and cold draw
The wrapper of the Silencio Los rios cigar had a smell of hay while the filler smelled of fruitiness and brewed coffee. The cold draft gave flavors of hay and fruitiness.

I thought I would get more complexity from the cigar but it was the same flavors from start to finish. The texture of the Silencio Los Rios Robusto cigar was creamy. What was interesting was that it had a flavor profile that was almost unique, some flavors I rarely know. The flavors it gave were sweet fruitiness, general spiciness, woodiness, a nuttiness that went in the direction of pistachio, a sweetness almost reminiscent of sponge cake batter. I think the taste that reminded me of sponge cake batter was unique and gave the cigar a lovely character. In the background of all flavors was a hint of leather. The retrohale tickled a little and gave nuances of freshly picked sweet spices. Although there were minor flavor nuance changes, they weren’t big enough to even mention. Certain flavors grew very little with the cigar as fruitiness became a little more prominent the longer i smoked.

Conclusion
Silencio Los Rios Robusto is a lightly smoked cigar with mild flavors. The flavors are balanced and there is no major complexity in the cigar. The body suits most aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is a bit high in price.
