There is something special about a barber pole cigar. The cigar itself is already a craft and I think it adds an extra artistic touch. The cigar had an incredibly lovely complexity.
Construction
The band around the cigar gave me the same feeling I got with the Valentino siesto Sungrown Robusto. The feeling I got was pure luxury and that it was made for an elite military unit. The cigar was firmly rolled but was quite uneven at the foot.
Wrapper: Ecuador and Mexico – Binder: Dominican – Filler: Dominican

Smell and cold draw
The wrapper and filler smelled of hay while the cold draw gave me flavors of light dark chocolate, oats, nuttiness with a slight sweetness.
1/3 Lets light the Valentino Siesto Double Capa Corona Gorda cigar
The first thing that met my taste buds was a buttery yet creamy texture. A combination that was absolutely wonderful. The dominant flavors were cedar, salty sweet licorice, raisins sweet stone oven baked bread, sweet almond like nutty, general fruitiness and a taste that is incredibly hard to describe, it reminded me of cake dough. In the background were flavors of earthiness, fresh herbs, spiciness, espresso and leather. It was as if all the flavors were competing with each other for which one i should feel. The flavors oscillated between puffs. The retrohalation tickled the nose a little and gave a shade of white pepper. Unfortunately, however, I had to correct the glow line somewhat throughout the cigar.

2/3 Let’s enjoy the second third of the cigar
As I got into the second third of the cigar, the texture was still creamy and buttery with a slight change. The creaminess took a little more space. The flavors I felt were chocolate, fruitiness, nuttiness to the sweet almond side, a floweriness that reminded me of roses, a flavor that I can’t describe in any other way than vanilla perfume-like sweetness, fresh herbs, sweet licorice, cedar, saltiness, butter, cookie dough and raisins. In the background were shades of leather, earthiness, espresso, gray chili and hay. The retrohale became a little smoother and gave nuances of nuttiness and white pepper.
3/3 Let’s enjoy the last third of the Valentino Siesto Double Capa Corona Gorda cigar
When I got into the last third, the texture was like the second third. Creamy and buttery at the same time. The flavors the cigar gave me were light chocolate mixed with dark chocolate, fruitiness, buttery cookie dough, woodiness that went in the direction of cedar, sweet licorice, hay and caramel toffee without sweetness. In the background were flavors of tartness reminiscent of lime, spiciness, leather, espresso and green chili. The retrohale was smooth and tasted of nuttiness and white pepper.
After taste
The aftertaste of the cigar was almost completely unique. It gave a leaf of nuttiness, hay and dark chocolate.
Body
Medium bordering on full
Smoke time
90 minutes
Conclusion
The Valentino Siesto Double Capa Corona Gorda cigar is an incredibly complex cigar with a lot of flavors. I think the body and complexity make it suitable for the slightly more experienced Aficionado. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should be, even though it needed to be corrected a lot throughout the smoking.
