Conctrustion
The cigar had an incredibly oily feel to it. Oilier than I usually feel in a cigar. It was firmly rolled with no noticeable veins or hard parts that would indicate an uneven glow or a “plug” that would indicate the puffs would feel too hard for the draw.
Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Honduras, Nicaragua and Dominican
Smell and Cold draw
When I brought the Zino cigar to my nose, I felt how the wrapper had a smell reminiscent of hay and fruitiness, while the filler smelled fruitiness reminiscent of dates and chocolate. The cold draft gave me shades of hay and fruitiness.
Lets light the Zino toro cigar to see what it has to offer
The cigar was not particularly complex and gave the same flavors from start to finish. I had expected a bit more flavor shifts than what I got. The texture the Zino toro cigar gave was creamy and at the same time buttery which was incredibly nice. The flavors I felt were floral, for fruitiness that reminded me of green pears, cashews nuts, cedar, espresso and dark chocolate. In the background was a nice shade of hay. The rerrhohalation was sweet and gave hints of white pepper. What really shocked me was that when I got to about the middle of the cigar the draw became much harder like the cigar was being plugged. I had to take the puffs faster than desired to keep the glow going, which became an annoyance after a while.

Medium
Smoke time
65 minutes. But it would probably have been 75 minutes if it wasn’t for the draw that started in the middle.
Conclusion
The Zino toro cigar has pleasant flavors and is lightly smoked. The cigar is not complex and is well suited for moments when you cannot give the cigar your full focus. The body makes it suitable for most aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, if it hadn’t been for the plug and it could be smoked well from start to finish, I think it is where it should be.
