Somthing happened when i got to the last third of the Brick House Connecticut robusto i didn’t expect.
Construction
As I did my rutin routine inspection I couldn’t find any flaws. The Brick House Connecticut was firm, it didn’t have any major veins, nor didn’t have any soft or hard parts that would interfere with the smoking experience. The wrapper had a silky oily feeling to it.
Band impression
To be honest i didn’t get any special feeling from the band wrapping around the Brick House Connecticut. The only feeling i got was that it made to be a everyday cigar. Nothing extraordinary.
Size of Brick House Connecticut robusto
The vitolan we chose to review in the Brick House Connecticut series was the robusto in size 5×54 (Length 127 mm x ring gauge approximately 21.5mm)
Blend
Brick House Connecticut robusto had a Connecticut wrapper (as the name suggests), a Connecticut broadleaf binder and fillers from Nicaragua.
Scent and cold draw
The scent of the wrapper reminded me of fruitiness while the filler had a lighter scent of hay. After I had cut the Brick House cigar, I took a few puffs as usual and felt lighter malty and nutty nuances in the cold draw.
1/3 Let’s light up the Brick house conneticut robusto
After I had toasted the cigar, it started out soft with a lighter creamy texture with a hint of butteriness. The dominant flavors Brick House Connecticut offered were nuts, hay, general pepperiness and a sweet, pleasant floral nuance. Those floral sweet flavors were quite unique and you don’t feel them in a cigar too often in the same way. In the background of the cigar there was an incredibly pleasant unique fruitiness, a sweet fruitiness that reminded me of dark cherries with its acidity. Next to the fruitiness you could feel glimpses of coffee latte. The retrohalation was smooth and I felt lighter nuances of cedar wood. Even though there weren’t many flavors in the first third of Brick House Connecticut, the blend was still pleasant enough that you never got bored.
2/3 The Brick house conneticut shows complexity
When I got into the second third of the Brick House Connecticut, things changed, the cigar’s complex side showed itself. The texture became creamier followed by flavors of florality (the florality was general florality and not as sweet as before), hay, leather, white pepper, nuttiness reminiscent of peanuts, cedar and classic dark tobacco. In the background there were nuances of coffee latte and fruitiness that went towards dark berries. The retrohalation of the Brick House Connecticut was still smooth and I felt general woody nuances.
3/3 Let’s see how the cigar finishes
Unfortunately I got a shock in the last third, Brick House Connecticut had had a smooth and nice glow all the way here, from about the last third I had to sit with the lighter in my hand almost the whole time so that the glow wouldn’t drag away on one side. The texture became creamier and quite rich. The dominant flavors the cigar offered were floral, although a little more prominent than before, leather and dark wood. In the background there were shades of earthiness, dark berries and a unique coffee flavor, the coffee flavor was floral with a certain sourness. A really nice experience I must say. The retrohalation was still smooth and I felt woody nuances.

Draw
Brick House Connecticut had a draw that was neither loose nor tight, it was exactly what you expect and want.
Burn quality
As I wrote earlier, Brick House Connecticut was glowing steadily until the last third. It was in the last third that something happened and I had to sit with the lighter constantly.
Body of Brick house conneticut robusto
The cigar had a medium body
Price of the cigar
Brick House Connecticut Robusto has an average price between 7-10 dollars.
Conclusion
Brick House Connecticut Robusto is a cigar with medium body and good balance between the flavors, some flavors stand out a bit from the crowd and make it quite unique. The cigar is well suited for both beginners and more experienced cigar smokers. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is where it should be even if the glow was uneven, the unique flavors lift the construction here. However, if the construction had not been messed up, I would probably say that Brick House Connecticut was a little under priced.
