The cigar was not particularly complex but still and wonderful smoke. A cigar to enjoy when you don’t want to put all your focus on it.
Construction
The cigar was firm with out any veins. The cigar was almost completely devoid of oiliness, there was just a light feeling that wrapped around the cigar.
Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Dominican – Filler: Dominican and Nicaragua
Scent and cold draw
The wrapper had a scent of florality and chocolate while the filler had a scent of florality. The cold draw doesn’t always give a heads up for when the cigar is lit but this time it did. The flavors i felt were hay, oatmeal and floral flavors.
1/2 Lets light up the PDR A Flores 1975 Gran Reserva Sungrown
The texture of the PDR A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva Sungrown Robusto cigar was creamy with a hint of butter. The flavors I felt were woodiness, florality, anise and hay. In the background there were nuances of vanilla without the classic sweetness, raisins and herbs. The retrohalation tickled my nose slightly and gave overall spicy nuances.
2/2 Lets se how the cigar ends
The second part of the cigar did not show much complexity, it was more that the flavors came forward more and took up space on the taste buds. The texture was creamy without butteriness. The dominant flavors I felt were Anise, hay, herbs, woodiness and Floral. In the background there were flavors of espresso, vanilla without sweetness, raisins and leather. The retrohalation was as before and tickled the nose slightly and gave nuances of spiciness.

Conclusion
PDR A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva Sungrown is a lightly smoked cigar without much complexity. The cigar is good for times when you don’t want to put all your focus on smoking and still feel a good flavor combination. The body, which is on the medium side, makes it suitable for most aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should be.
