Construction

The cigar had a slightly rougher, oily feel to it. There was a slightly softer part of the cigar which unfortunately later caused the cigar to go out quite quickly during that part for some reason.

Scent and cold draw

The wrapper of the cigar had a smell of hay while the filler had a smell of a farm. The cold draft I must say was incredibly nice. Flavors that I can imagine sitting on the couch and enjoying for a while before lighting the cigar. The flavors I felt were creaminess, fruitiness, hay and light maltiness.

Lets light up the Joya De Nicaragua Clasico Original Seleccion B Corona

When I lit the cigar I wasn’t particularly impressed by the texture, it was light and almost non-existent. The only thing you could feel was an incredibly light creaminess. The flavors the cigar gave off were hay, pepperiness, nuttiness, woodiness reminiscent of cedar and classic tobacco. In the background there were nuances of fruitiness and vanilla bean. The retrohalation really tickled my nose and gave off nuances of general pepperiness. About halfway through the cigar there was a softer part that for some reason caused the cigar to go out and had to be relit.

Conclusion

Joya de Nicaragua Clasico Original Seleccion B Corona is a cigar that is quite a light-smoked cigar that lacks complexity. The flavors are not many and unfortunately the construction was not at the level I had expected. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I unfortunately think it is a bit high in price compared to what you get. There are cheaper alternatives that give more. However, I think Joya de Nicaragua is a good brand otherwise. They have many other good alternatives.
