Construction
The feeling I got when I held it in my hand was an everyday lighter everyday cigar.
The cigar was firm with a harder little lump part in the middle of the cigar. It had a slightly oily feeling to it.
Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Nicaragua
Scent and cold draw
The wrapper had a smell of hay while the filler had a smell of hay and light florality. The cold draft gave me flavors of maltiness and chocolate.
1/2 Lets light up the Joya De Nicaragua Clasico Robusto to see what it has to offer
After I lit the cigar I was greeted by a creamy and at the same time creamy texture. The dominant flavors I felt were hay, nuttiness and woodiness towards cedar. In the background there were nuances of vanilla sugar-like sweetness, florality and fruitiness. The retrohalation tickled the nose a little and gave nuances of florality.
2/2 Something happened to the cigar.
When I got into the second half of the cigar, it was like the draw stopped for a bit and became incredibly thick. It was as I approached the lump that I felt before I lit the cigar. The cigar showed complexity but the draw was incredibly thight. The texture was creamy and the flavors I felt were cedar, nuttiness and hay. In the background there were flavors of sour fruitiness, vanilla sugar but more prominent than before and anise. The retrohalation was smooth and gave a nuance of hay and florality combined.
After taste
Walenuts
Body
Mild
Smoke time
45 minutes
Conclusion
It is a mild cigar that suits most cigar smokers. It was incredibly thick in the draw. Good everyday cigar. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it was a little bit on the higher end.
