Taste
Smell and cold draw
As a brought the Oliva Connecticut reserve robusto to my nose the wrapper gave a scent of way while the filler gave shades of espresso and sweet fruitiness.
1/3 Lets light up the Oliva Connecticut reserve robusto cigar
I roasted the cigar slowly and felt how the first thing that met my taste buds was a Buttery yet Creamy texture. The flavors it offered were sweet Fruitiness, a nuttiness reminiscent of cashews, a woodiness that went in the direction of cedar, and strangely, a buttery breadiness. The retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of white pepper and nuttiness.
2/3 Of the cigar
The texture of the cigar became a little Creamier and the buttery part was a little more in the background. There was a general fruitiness with a lighter hint of pear, nuttiness towards cashews and hay. In the background there were light shades of leather and espresso. The retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of white pepper and nuttiness.
3/3 Let’s see how the cigar ends
The texture was now just creamy. The flavors the cigar offered were general fruitiness, woodiness, hay and nuttiness. In the background there were shades of espresso, saltiness. leather and the classic sweet tobacco taste. The retrohalation tickled a bit and gave shades of white pepper
After taste
Hay and walnuts
Body
Mild bordering on medium
Smoke time
55 minutes
Conclusion
A good cigar with a minor complexity. Smooth and balanced flavors The body makes the cigar suitable for both beginners and more experienced aficionados. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should be.
