The cigar was firm and nicely rolled with a lighter oiliness. What I liked and appreciated extra was that it had a closed foot. I think it gives an elegance and a softer roast when lit.

Wrapper: Ecuador – Binder: Costa Rica – Filler: Costa Rica
Taste
Smell and cold draw
When I brought the cigar, I was greeted by a lovely scent of citrus and hay. The cold draft was reminiscent of the scent and gave nuances of hay and citrus.
1/3 lets light the Vegas de Santiago herritage Robusto cigar
The first thing that met my taste buds was a creamy texture. The flavors where smooth and i felt a combination of hay and grass, dakr chocolate, minerals and nuttiness. In the background there where flavors of leather, citrus and spiciness. The rethrohale gave shades of freshly picked spices and general pepperiness.
2/3 The cigar shows some complexity
When I got into the second part of the Vegas de Santiago herritage Robusto the cigar showed a lovely complexity. The texture was creamy as before and the flavors it gave were dark chocolate, espresso and coffee beans, hay, nuttiness towards walnut, general floral flavors and a sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar. In the background were shades of cedar and dark berries. The retrohale was smooth and gave nuances of cedar and white pepper.
3/3 What a lovely finish to the cigar
As I stepped into the last third of the Vegas de Santiago herritage Robusto cigar, the texture changed a bit. The texture was creamy but buttery at the same time. The flavors it offered were a nuttiness reminiscent of macadamia nuts, hay, leather, coffee beans, cacao, a tartness reminiscent of lemon and lemon peel, and a combination of cedar and oak. In the background were shades of dark berries reminiscent of cherries, brown sugar and fresh spices. Towards the end of the cigar, the last puffs, a shade that is most easily described as wood fire entered the taste buds. The retrohale was smooth and gave nuances of wood fire and white pepper.
After taste
Walenuts and dark chocolate
Body
Medium
Smoke time
55 minutes
Conclusion
A good cigar with lovely complexity. The flavors are well balanced until the end when you feel the nuance of wood fire taking over. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is where it should be.
