It feels like every cigar from Rocky Patel has some special to bring to my taste buds.
Cigar Conctruction
The wrapper head a slightly oily feeling to it. The oily feeling you just whant in a great cigar. I did not find any irregularities or hidden veins that could ruin the cigar. The only thing that could make the cigar burn unevenly was my lighting the cigar and the wind. The glow line was incredibly even from start to finish.
Wrapper: Corojo
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Am sorry, i dont know
Cigar taste Unlit
After cutting the cigar I took a few puffs before lighting it and got a nice cedar wood flavor. I like this part, it gives me a chance to enjoy the cigar for a longer time and feel all the flavors the cigar has to offer.
Taste 1/2
After lighting the Rocky Patel the Edge Corojo Short Robusto cigar, more flavors were offered than I had expected given the size. It offered more flavors than many larger cigars. The cigar put on a show of flavors.
It all started with a buttery texture with a light light creaminess. The flavors mixed and shifted somewhat already in the first 1/2 of the cigar. It all started with a smooth sweet fruitiness with a general nuttiness in the background. The balance between fruitiness and nuttiness kept the cigar from being too sweet or nutty. As I got a bit into the cigar a general floral flavor came in and was joined by flavors I can’t describe other than a sweet leafy bonfire like flavor nuance. You know the bonfire you feel on the edge of autumn that is sweet and warms you when you are outdoors. Towards the end of the 1/2 came a lighter bitterness of dark chocolate, raisins far in the background with a malty nuance and light light citrus note. When I retrohaled, it lightly tickled my nose and felt a light taste of white pepper.
2/2
When I stepped into 2/2 of the Rocky Patel The Edge Corojo Short Robusto cigar, the texture changed a little more from being slightly creamy and slightly buttery/oily. The flavors that came through were light citrus with a light fruitiness and a dark chocolate like bitterness in the background. As I neared the end of the cigar it rounded off and flavors of oak fire and espresso entered.
Aftertaste
The aftertaste was oak and valenuts.
Smoke time
Rocky patel the edge Corojo Short Robusto cigar gave me about 48 minutes of enjoyment.
Would I smoke the Rocky Patel The Edge Corojo Short Robusto cigar again? I think. I think it is in the premium selection of cigars but there are quite a few Rocky Patel cigars i like and prefer.
