I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect what I got. There was a lot of flavor and incredible quality for the price.

Construction

When I looked at the band, I got a sporty feeling. My thoughts were taken to baseball and pictured sitting at a park with some friends, lighting my Rocky Patel 2003 Jr while waiting to enter the arena. The cigar was evenly and nicely rolled.

Wrapper: Kamerun – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Nicaragua and Dominican

Taste

The wrapper head a sweet fruity fragrence and the filler scented of hay.

I took a few puffs before roasting and felt a mix of fruitiness and hay.

I rarely write about the actual amount of smoke from a cigar, but in this case I was impressed. For a cigar as small as the Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 Junior, it had a volume that would make many larger cigars jealous.The smoke was thick and left a large cloud that added a golden edge to the moment. Thanks to its size, the cigar was not particularly complex. The flavors I got from the beginning stayed with me until the end. The texture was creamy and the flavors the cigar offered alternated between puffs. The flavors that came through were cocoa, a mix of floral and fruity. That is, it wasn’t sweet as in normal fruitiness, but there were nuances of the flavors that came through. There was a hint of caramel syrup in the background. As I neared the end of the cigar, some maltiness came in as well. The exhale was spicy and reminiscent of cayenne pepper.

Aftertaste

The aftertaste did not linger for long and had the classic walnut taste.

The body was medium

Smoke time

It took about 25 minutes to smoke the Rocky patel Vintage 2003 Jr.

Conclusion

A good cigar that gives a lot of quality for the money. For being so small, there were many flavors. The body means that the cigar is not suitable for those who have just started their journey, but definitely worth trying if you have been smoking for a while. The size makes it suitable both for breaks and for moments when you want a smaller cigar.
