Stallone cigars Palamino Connecticut robusto cigar review

The Palomino is not a breed but a distinctive color type found in many horse breeds. Characterized by a lustrous golden coat and a white or cream-colored mane and tail.

A pleasant feeling swept over me and thoughts of summer evenings were present throughout the smoking session. Sweet and fruity flavors defined the Stallone palamino Connecticut robusto like a dessert after a barbecue dinner.

Construction

The Palomino cigar was firmly rolled with out any veins and had a silky smooth oily feeling to it.

Wrapper: Connecticut USA – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Nicaragua

Scent and cold draw

The wrapper had a scent of farmyard while the filler a scent of hay and a lighter shade of fruitiness. The cold draw of the Stallone palamino Connecticut offered me flavors of oats in a combination with nuts.

1/2 Lets light up the Stallone palamino Connecticut robusto to see what it has to offer

The first thing that crossed my mind was the texture. The texture was creamy with a hint of buttery witch made it really pleasant and not dry like many other cigars on the market. The dominant flavors the palamino Connecticut robusto offered where sweet fruitiness, hay, saltiness and a combination of cream and butter. In the background there were flavors nuances of white pepper, citrus peel, anise and coffee latte. The retrohale was smooth and gave nuances of cedar wood.

2/2 The palamino Connecticut showed a lighter complexity

The texture was creamy and the butter feeling from earlier was still there but had retreated a bit. The flavors i felt where sweet fruitiness, a nuttiness that went towards cashews, freshly picked herbs, floral notes and saltiness. In the background there were flavors of vanilla sugar, citrus peel, coffee latte and butter. The retrohale was still smooth and gave nuances of hay.

After taste

Walenut

Body

Mild bordering on medium

Smoke time

Conclusion

Stallone Palamino Connecticut is a slightly sweeter cigar with incredibly good balance. The cigar works great as a luxurious everyday cigar and for times when you don’t want to put too much focus on the cigar but still feel balanced flavors. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is incredibly low in price. If I compare it to many other cigars in the 15 – 18 dollar price range I think it is in class with them, even a little better considering the quality you get.
