CAO Cameroon short perfecto cigar review

I expected more from the cigar.

Construction

The cigar was firmly rolled and was incredibly light. The wrapper had a matte feeling to it.

Wrapper: Cameroon – Binder: Nicaragua – Filler: Nicaragua

Scent and cold draw

The cigar had a scent that reminded me of farmyard. The cold draw gave me flavors of hay, maltiness and nuttiness.

Lets light up the CAO Cameroon short perfecto to see what it has to offer

The texture was creamy and at the same time dry. The flavors i felt were quite peppery flavors, earthiness, dark roasted coffee and woody cedar notes. In the background there were flavors of leather, nutmeg, an incredibly difficult to explain sweetness that is easiest described as combination of vanilla and fruitiness, autumn leaves bonfire and butter dough. The retrohale slightly tickled my nose and gave nuances of general spiciness.

I had to correct the glow line a lot from start to finish.

After taste

Hay and walnuts

Body

Medium bordering on full

Smoke time

30 minutes

Conclusion

CAO Cameroon perfecto cigar had an almost unique sweetness far in the background. Beyond that, the flavors had a good balance but nothing unique. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think the cigar is a bit too high in price. I compared it with CAO BX3 which is really far below the price instead and an incredibly unique taste experience.
