Construction
The cigar was incredibly firm and evenly rolled. It had a matte feel to it.
Wrapper: Mexico – Binder: Peru – Binder: Dominican and Nicaragua
Scent and cold draw
The wrapper had an interesting scent that reminded me of leaves and a lighter shade of fruitiness. The filler smelled of ground coffee. The cold draft gave me flavors of milkiness and nuttiness.
1/3 Let’s light up the Hemmys Maduro robusto cigar to see what it has to offer.
When I lit the cigar I was greeted by a creamy texture and flavors that reminded me of a combination of herbs and hay, cacao, general woodiness with a hint of cedar and general sweetness. In the background there were nuances of saltiness, raisins, earthiness, general spiciness and minerals. The retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of hay and white pepper.
2/2 The cigar shows complexity
The texture was creamy as before and the flavors I felt were licorice, hay, cacao, herbs, nuttiness and general woodiness. In the background there were nuances of nuttiness, minerals, earthiness, raisins, saltiness and florality. The retrohalation was smooth and somehow reminded me of hay and a fire in the leaves in the fall with a certain sweetness
3/3 Let’s see how the cigar finishes.
The texture was creamy and the flavors it gave off were earthiness, minerals, licorice, salty woodiness and cacao. In the background were flavors of nuttiness, leather, florality and a syrupy sweetness. The retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of hay and earthiness.

Conclusion
Hemmy’s maduro robusto has a good balance between the flavors. The cigar offers a complexity between the thirds and you quite often find new flavors to enjoy. The body that is medium on the verge of full suits the more experienced cigar smokers. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is where it should be, maybe a little underpriced.
