In Focus

NØRDING by Rocky Patel Short torpedo cigar

Most small cigars cant be divided into three parts not even two. This one i could splitt into two parts. The flawors that came were so pleasent that i wish the cigar would never end. As the name suggests TORPEDO, its was a bang of lovely flavors.

Construction

The conctrustion on the small cigar was incredibly even rolled and beautiful. I could feel how powerful iy was when i held it in my hand. What choked me was that there were some thicker veins. I picked up another one of the same cigar to be compared and unfortunately it was the same on the second cigar. Though the veins were quite clear, it burned evenly.

Vitola: Short torpedo

Wrapper Costa Rica

Binder: Mexican

Filler: Honduras and Nicaragua

Taste

I took a few puffs before i lit the cigar. I usally dont expect the cold draw to give an indication of how the cigar will taste after its been lit, this time it did. The taste i got was sweet floral flavours.

1/2

It all started with a light creamy texture that was flooded with a dominent taste of semisweet floral flavors and dill in a combination of a very loght taste of salty sweet licorice in the background. If you have ever cooked a licorice sauce, you will most likely recognize the taste i am talking about. In the backrgound there was also a spiciness that balanced everything out in a good way. It was a bit like a dish but in the shape of a cigar.

2/2

I thought I’d have the same taste right through the whole cigar given the size, but I was wrong. The second half of the cigar offered a slightly creamier texture and was joined by a slightly buttery texture. The taste of flora had disappeared almost completely, giving way to sweet and sour licorice and a taste of burnt sweet leaves (which you sometimes smell in the fall) in a combination with a classic wooden bonfire. Burnt leaves and bonfires may not have sounded very tempting to smoke but it was an incredible combination with licorice.

Aftertaste

Usually I get a lovely aftertaste from a cigar and a certain texture usually lasts but not this time. It didn’t matter because the flavors were so lovely during smoking that I was glad no aftertaste came. The only thing I wish was that I had more of the cigar.

Smoke time

Smoking the cigar took about 30 minutes.

Without a doubt one of the tastiest little cigars I’ve smoked.
