The cigar is small but powerful.
Construction
The cigar was incredibly tightly rolled and had a large vein at the end. I had to adjust the glow line quite a bit throughout the smoking process. It had a slightly oily feel to it.
Wrapper: Dominican – Binder: Dominican – Filler: Dominican and Nicaragua
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper had a scent of chocolate, vanilla and hay while the filler smelled of hay and nuttiness. The cold draft gave me flavors of oats and hay.
Let’s light up the PDR A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva Corojo Half Corona to see what it has to offer.
It didn’t take long for the cigar to show that it had a full body. The texture was slightly creamy and the flavors I felt were Earthy, espresso, woodiness, spice and nuttiness. In the background were shades of dark chocolate, brown sugar-like sweetness and hickory. The retrohalation tickled the nose slightly and gave shades of black pepper and light oak fire.
The cigar was quite rough and it was good to have some water when I smoked the cigar.

Conclusion
PDR A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva Corojo Half Corona is a full-bodied cigar that suits the more experienced aficionados. The flavors are prominent and balanced. The cigar has a bit more earthy flavors. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is where it should be even though I had to adjust the glow line.

For a Robusto, that length is remarkable, […]
