The cigar was uneven around the edges and was quite soft overall when I felt it.

Scent and cold draw
The wrapper had a scent of hay while the filler had a surprisingly interesting scent. I thought I was imagining my self so i asked a extra nose to smell the cigar. The filler had a scent of hay and a scent I can’t described in another way then it reminded me of green grapes. Tha cold draw was as suprising as the scent, the flavors i felt were hay and green grapes. My hopes had gone thru the roof at this point and i couldn’t imagin the cigar to be any thing els but complex.
1/2 The Perdomo 30th Anniversary Sungrown started of nice.
After I toasted the cigar, I was greeted with a creamy and almost unusually rich texture. The flavors I felt with the Perdomo 30th Anniversary Sungrown were Hay combined with grass, cedar, dried herbs, general florality, nuttiness towards walnuts, caffe latte and a combination of leather and earthiness. The secondary flavors the cigar offered were raisins, fruitiness, white pepper, and licorice. Retrohalation tickled to a little light in my nose and gave shades of white pepper.
2/2 I thought the cigar would show more complexity
When I had approached the second half of the cigar, it only then began to show a little more flavor shift. However, it was not particularly complex and the flavors I felt were the same until the end. The texture was creamy and the dominant flavors I felt were hay, general woodiness, dried herbs, espresso, leather, floral nuances, and a nuttiness that reminded me of chestnut. The nuttiness was a bit unique, as you don’t feel nuances of chestnut too often. In the background were flavors of raisins, brown sugar-like sweetness, cacao, and strangely enough breadiness. The retrohalation tickled my nose and still gave nuances of white pepper.

Conclusion
Perdomo 30th Anniversary Sungrown box pressed robusto is a full-bodied cigar that will appeal to the more experienced aficionado who likes a powerful cigar. The cigar is not particularly complex, which makes it suitable for times when you don’t want to put too much focus on the cigar. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is a bit high in price.
