When one’s expectations are taken by storm. Better cigar than I expected.
Construction
The cigar had a matte feel to the wrapper and was a little flat on one side as if it was lightly box pressed and considering the price I would already like to say that it was perfect even though it was a little uneven on one side.
Wrapper: Honduras – Binder: Honduras – Filler: Honduras and Nicaragua
Taste
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper smelled of dark chocolate while the filler smelled of farmhouse. The cold draft gave shades of hay.
I had expected less complexity than I got and it could be split into two parts.
1/2 of Rocky Patel Seed to smoke classic toro

I had expected less complexity than I got and it could be split into two parts. The cigar did not give a special texture but the smoker was full and dense. The flavors that emerged were a sweet Fruitiness that reminded me of peach peel, a mix of cedar and hay, a general spiciness, a mix of leather and brewed coffee, in the background you could feel shades of roasted almonds and a floweryness that reminded me of the tulip . The retrohalation tickled a little in the nose and reminded of black pepper and cedar.
2/2 of Rocky Patel Seed to smoke classic
When I got to about halfway through the cigar, the flavor profile changed a bit. The texture was as before and the smoke thick. The dominant flavors were a cedar and hay mix, leather and espresso mix, a general spiciness and a floweriness reminiscent of the tulip. In the background I could feel a nice sourness and a general sweetness. The retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of white pepper and hay. During the second half of the cigar I had to parry the glow a few times, but not so many times that it would bother me.
After taste
The aftertaste was short, dry and gave nuances of walnuts.
Body
Mild bordering on Medium.
Smoke time
65 minutes
Conclusion
A good beginner friendly cigar with a body that suits most. The flavors were prominent and you didn’t have to focus much on the cigar to feel them. If I compare price vs taste vs quality, I think it is a bit low in price compared to other cigars in the same category. I think it is worth the price.
