Let’s compare cigars body to coffee to make it easyer to understand.
Espresso comparison (Full body cigar) – A dark dark roasted espresso. For those who are not used to the dark, strong espresso, the flavors will be bitter and have a bonfire-like taste profile. For the person with trained taste buds will be able to find a sea of flavors such as fruitiness, nuttiness, chocolate, caramel, creamy and rich textures etc.
Brewed coffee comparison (Mild body cigar) – A brewed coffee can be compared to a mild body cigar. Go from mild to full bodied cigar
If you like mild bodied cigars and want to learn how to smoke full bodied cigars. Don’t go for them right away, of course try some and see if you like them. If you don’t like full bodied cigars in the beginning I would recommend you smoke medium bodied cigars for a while to get your taste buds used to the growing complex flavor profile and texture and then smoke full bodied cigars.
Trained taste buds vs not trained
Those who like full-bodied cigars have trained taste buds and can more easily find flavor nuances in a medium and mild cigar. While the person with untrained taste buds will most likely dislike a full-bodied cigar.

What do I prefer, a full body or a mild body cigar?
Although I prefer a complex full bodied cigar on a sunny Saturday or Sunday, I also like a medium or mild bodied cigar. It’s all about the time of day, what my craving says and the shape of my day. A walk with a less complex cigar or sit in the shade with a coffee and a full-bodied cigar. They both have their charm.
