Macanudo Inspirado Black Robusto is not a particularly complex cigar. Although it offers some flavor shifts, they are not overwhelming.
Conctrustion
The band around the cigar had the classic Macanudo Inspirado elegance found in their other Inspirado series. Simple and at the same time elegant. When I felt the cigar I was a little disappointed. The cigar was unevenly rolled with a bump at the base. The wrapper was matte to the feel.
Wrapper: USA – Binder: Ecuador – Filler: Nicaragua
Smell and cold draw
The wrapper had a lovely sweet dark chocolate scent. The filler smelled like sweet hay. The cold draft was hard to put into words, the closest I can come is wheat. What worried me a little was how thigh the cold draw was. It was almost impossible to take a puff.
1/3 Lets see what the Macanudo Inspirado black robusto has to offer lit
It all began with a smooth and creamy texture. The flavors I felt were general woodiness, pine needle, maple syrup similar sweetness and espresso. In the background there were shades of macadamia nuts, dark chocolate and fruitiness. Retrohalation tickled to a little light and gave nuances of black pepper.
2/3 of the Macanudo cigar
The texture was still creamy but not as smooth as earlier. The flavors the cigar presented in second third was a woodiness that reminded me of pine and pine needle, dark chocolate, maple syrup sweetness and coffee beans. In the background there was shades of fruitiness, Macademia nuts and espresso.
3/3 lets see how the Inspirado Black Robusto cigar ends
As I stepped into the last third of the cigar I was a little surprised. The texture changed a little bit and was creamy and a little bit buttery. The flavors it presented was general tartness, general woodiness, fir and spruce, dark chocolate, coffee beans, espresso and general nuttiness. In the background there was a general sweetness that balanced out all the flavors. Retrohalation tickled my nose a bit and gave nuances of black pepper.
After taste
Walnuts
Body
Mild
Smoke time
The cigar gave me 70 minutes of joy
Conclusion
A good cigar with a Body that suits most Aficionados. It is not particularly complex and you don’t have to put all your focus on it. The flavors have a good balance. If I compare price vs. taste vs. quality, I would probably like to say that it is a little overpriced. Not much but a little.
