It was a powerful feeling to hold the cigar, the detail at the foot with 135 made it feel like it was made for a big celebration.

The cigar was incredibly firm and had an oily feel to it.

Smell and cold draw

The wrapper had aromas of florality and chocolate while the filler smelled floral and slightly buttery. The cold draft was quite interesting and gave flavors of woodiness, pine and milkiness.

The texture was buttery and creamy at the same time and the flavors I felt were Sweet florality reminiscent of perfume, general florality in the tulip direction, sweet fruitiness, carbonation and honey-like sweetness. In the background there were flavors of pine, vanilla and light milk chocolate. The retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of hay.

As I entered the second part of the Oliva Serie V 135th anniversary Edicion limitada cigar, the texture changed a bit. The buttery texture from earlier was gone and I felt the creamy texture thickening. The flavors I felt were oak and cedar wood, caramel syrup, floral, nutty and citrus. In the backround there were flavors of honey, fruitiness and licorice. The retrohalation was smooth and gave nuances of hay and lighter nutty flavors.

The cigar showed more complexity. I felt the texture was reminiscent of the first third, but thicker. The texture was creamy and buttery. The flavors the cigar gave were Fruitiness, Floweriness in the tulip direction and at the same time general floweriness, a mixture of honey and syrup-like sweetness, nuttiness in the almond direction, woodiness and citrus in the orange direction. In the background there were flavors of licorice, chocolate, caffe latte, butter and pine needles. When I got to the end of the cigar, it gave flavors of dark chocolate, espresso and leather. The retrohalation was smooth and gave shades of hay and lighter woodiness.

After taste

The aftertaste was quite interesting and ended the Oliva Serie V 135th anniversary Edicion limitada cigar in a good way. The flavors I felt were hay, walnuts and chocolate.

Conclusion

The Oliva Serie V 135th anniversary Edicion limitada cigar is a complex cigar with a full body. The full body makes it suitable for the experienced aficionado. The flavors have a good balance between each other without any flavor that stands out. If I compare price vs taste vs quality I think it is where it should be, maybe a little on the high side considering that the blend is the same as in the classic Oliva V.
