Last cigar of the year 2023
What a celebration. The family was together and the children played to the fullest. I took the opportunity to finish this year’s cigar smoking a little before dinner. While my brother-in-law stood by the grill and cooked the meat we were going to eat, we took the opportunity to light the last cigar of the year. I never smoke the cigar at 12 o’clock considering everything that happens, toasts, well wishes and all the hugs. His choice for the evening was Drew estate factory smoke maduro robusto while I lit a Smoking jacket.The evening continued after the cigar and on the table was a lot of goodies, beef tenderloin, potato gratin, breaded chicken, salad, bread, red wine sauce and lots more. The laughter continued until after 12 and we headed home. I thought the evening was over but me and the wife thought we were young again, it was 0600 in the morning when we realized we should probably go to bed. It’s been a long time since I laughed so much. We thought we would have to wake up at 8 with the children, but luckily they slept until 12 😀 But I don’t remember the last time I was as tired as that day.
First cigar of the year 2024
The first cigar of the year was absolutely incredible. Sometimes you have an incredible urge to try a cigar you’ve never smoked before. The color, wrapper and smell made me long to smoke the cigar. I went over to my other brother-in-law who I hadn’t celebrated New Years with around 10 in the evening on the first of january. We sat down with some relaxing background music cut our cigars and started roasting them. His choice of cigar was a classic, it was an Oliva G robusto (Here is a link to the Oliva G robusto ) while I took a Cadwell Anastasia kartel Robusto. I can’t say anything other then that the cigar I smoked was one of the best cigars I’ve ever smoked.
